"the New York Arts of Pacific Asia Show... one of the cornerstones of New York's Asia Week" — Orientations Magazine
The New York Arts of Pacific Asia, anchoring New York Asia Weeks since its launch in 1995, will not be produced in March 2013 because a suitable venue for the Show is not available during Spring Asia Week 2013. The 11th Floor of 7W, the Merchandise Mart's facility at 7 West 34th Street, which had been the show's venue since 2009, is being reconfigured from a large event space to offices, and alternative venues are either inadequate to the show's requirements, or not available.
Since its founding in 1995, New York Arts of Pacific Asia has provided a showcase for a prestigious assemblage of the world's leading galleries and dealers specializing in the fine arts, textiles and objects de arte of Asia, the Subcontinent, Japan, the Pacific Islands, and the Near and Middle East. Collectors, museum curators and connoisseurs have been the core of Asia Week buyers, and the show's more than 65 exhibitors, who have gathered from Asia, Europe, the UK and across America, helped establish the rigorously vetted New York Arts of Pacific Asia as the most respected Asian art fair in the world.
